Skillet Garlic Butter Herb Steak and Potatoes

Succulent steak and tender potatoes come together in this skillet dish, delivering hearty comfort food in under an hour.

Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • 1 pound baby potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by boiling the baby potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, about 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
  3. Season the steaks with salt and pepper, then place them in the hot skillet.
  4. Cook the steaks for about 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  5. Remove the steaks and let them rest.
  6. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Sauté until fragrant.
  7. Add the boiled potatoes to the skillet and toss to coat them in the garlic butter.
  8. Slice the steaks and serve on top of the garlic butter potatoes.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the steaks prior to cooking.
  • Feel free to substitute the ribeye with your favorite cut of steak.
