- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 4 sub rolls
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
- In a saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat.
- Add the baked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Toast the sub rolls in the oven for about 2-3 minutes.
- Assemble the subs by placing meatballs and sauce in the rolls, and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Return to the oven for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
