1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon sugar
3/4 cup warm water
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 cup crushed tomatoes
8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
Instructions
In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Create a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until smooth, then place in a greased bowl to rise for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
Once risen, roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
