Cabbage Rolls

Cabbage rolls are a hearty and comforting dish that blends the flavors of turkey bacon and beef wrapped in tender cabbage leaves.

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil cabbage in a large pot for 5 minutes, then remove leaves.
  3. Cook turkey bacon in a skillet, then add onions and garlic until soft.
  4. In a bowl, mix ground beef, rice, cooked bacon, onions, garlic, tomato sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Place a portion of the filling on each cabbage leaf, roll tightly, and tuck in the sides.
  6. Arrange rolls in a baking dish, cover with remaining tomato sauce, and bake for 45 minutes.

Notes

  • Feel free to add herbs like dill or parsley for added flavor.
  • Serve with sour cream for dipping.
