  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 pound turkey bacon
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add milk and stir until just combined.
  5. Turn dough onto a floured surface, knead gently, and roll out.
  6. Cut into biscuits and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  8. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy, then remove.
  9. In the same skillet, add flour and cook for 1 minute.
  10. Slowly stir in milk, cook until thickened.
  11. Add salt and pepper.
  12. Serve gravy over biscuits and top with crumbled turkey bacon.

Notes

  • This recipe can be made with regular bacon if preferred.
  • For a spicier kick, add cayenne pepper to the gravy.
