Ingredients

  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients together.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla, then mix until smooth.
  4. Carefully stir in the boiling water.
  5. Fill the cupcake liners 2/3 full and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool before frosting.
