Whole Wheat Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips

A moist and delicious banana bread made with whole wheat flour and chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted coconut oil, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract.
  4. Add in the baking soda and salt, and mix well.
  5. Gently fold in the whole wheat flour until just combined.
  6. Finally, add the chocolate chips and fold in carefully.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for 55-60 minutes.
  8. Let it cool before slicing.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, substitute half the chocolate chips with nuts.
