Soft and Savory Breakfast Rolls Everyone Will Wake Up For

Start your day off right with these soft and savory breakfast rolls, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup cooked bacon, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Allow to sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, melted butter, egg, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Roll out the dough and sprinkle with cheese and bacon. Roll it up tightly.
  7. Slice into rolls and place in a greased baking dish.
  8. Let rise for another 30 minutes, then bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • For a different flavor, try adding herbs to the dough.
  • These rolls can be made ahead of time and frozen.
