Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Divide the dough in half and shape into logs; wrap in plastic wrap and chill for at least 2 hours.
