  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, pumpkin puree, and sugars until combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking dish.
  7. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then spread it over the brownie batter.
  8. Top with the remaining brownie batter and swirl it with a knife.
  9. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before cutting into squares.
