  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 6 cups beef broth
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and garlic, sautéing until soft.
  3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Add the broken lasagna noodles and continue to cook for an additional 10-12 minutes until the noodles are tender.
  6. Serve in bowls, topping with ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
