Korean Beef Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 head butter lettuce, leaves separated
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef, cook until browned.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, and rice vinegar; simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  6. To serve, spoon beef mixture into lettuce leaves, top with carrot, cucumber, green onions, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Serve with additional dipping sauces if desired.
  • Try adding other vegetables for extra crunch.
