1 pound ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 jar marinara sauce
4 sub rolls
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Form the mixture into meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
While meatballs are baking, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan.
Once meatballs are cooked, place them in the marinara sauce.
In each sub roll, add meatballs and spoon over some marinara.
Top with mozzarella cheese and place in the oven until the cheese melts.
Notes
For extra flavor, add chopped herbs to the meatball mixture.
This recipe can be made with turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
