  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon capers
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the turkey bacon and cook until crispy.
  3. Add onion and garlic, sautéing until softened.
  4. Stir in tomatoes, capers, red pepper flakes, olives, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Toss in the cooked spaghetti and parsley, mixing well to combine.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the turkey bacon.
  • Add more or less red pepper flakes to adjust spice level.
