  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brewed coffee

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed until well combined.
  4. Stir in the brewed coffee until the batter is smooth.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
