Apple Slab Pie

A delicious and easy recipe for Apple Slab Pie that the whole family will love.

  • 6 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  3. Roll out one pie crust and fit it into a baking sheet.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into the crust and dot with butter.
  5. Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the filling. Cut slits for steam to escape.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
